Major Hospitals Across Liberia Received 20 incubators from The JNB Foundation.

At least five medical doctors here along with their administrators gathered at the JNB Foundation Rehab Headquarters Tuesday (Nov. 12/24) to take delivery of 20 critical medical instruments donated by this foundation. The instruments are all incubators, each costing US $16,000, and would help greatly alleviate infant mortality in Liberia, according to the beneficiaries. The doctors said, almost all of their hospitals except the JFK (largest), lacked these life-saving equipment and even those that do have-often have to deal with malfunction or “nonfunctional” incubators.

The 20 incubators were distributed among four major hospitals, with the John F. Kennedy Hospital taking 10 sets while the rest went to Redemption, James David and the Jackson F. Doe Hospital located in the far northeast of the country; text & still-photos by James Kokulo Fasuekoi; video by Cyprian Snosio Wreh.
