JNB Foundation off-loads 40 Ft. container of assorted goods from Italy; another with X-Rays machines, others, from Dubai expected soon

On Friday, March 28, staffers with the Joseph Nyuma Boakai Foundation worked hours, off-loading a 40 Ft. container of assorted medical supplies at their Rehab Paynesville Headquarters. The goods had come from the Italian city called Salerno, through a company named Associazione Universo Humanitas. Value of this shipment was placed at a little more than a half million United States dollars, according to the deputy director for the foundation, Mr. Henry Saa Flanpor. Included in shipment were the followings, some in huge quantity: Latex gloves, FEPs Masks, Syringes 5-10 ml, Needles, Disinfectant Gel Containers, Protectives Suits Cat 3, Footwear, Catheters and Aspirators for Secrets.

This latest donation from Italy, is followed by another 40 Ft. container, from Dubai, the UAE,and is expected to arrive in Liberia within days, according to Mr. Flanpor. The Dubai shipment consists of urgently needed hospital equipment such as X-Rays machines and other laboratory instruments-all of which would go a long way in augmenting our hospitals as they work to serve the medical needs of Liberians and foreign visitors to the country. Friday’s off-loading saw the participation of several of JNB Foundation’s executives and board members, as you will see in these photographs-from the charity’s executive director, Hon. Jackson K. George, to its board chairman, Hon. David Saah Fartomah and Dr. John Mulbah, its medical advisor; Text & photographs by James Kokulo Fasuekoi|Communications Director
