Amb. Joseph Nyuma Boakai | Founder.

Amb. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. is the former Vice President of the Republic of Liberia during the presidency of H.E. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, from 2006 to 2017. Currently Amb. Joseph N. Boakai is severing as the Currently as the President of the republic of Liberia, Cumulatively Amb. Boakai has been in public service for more than four decades. From the position of Branch Manager, Amb. Boakai rose to the position of becoming the first native Managing Director of the Liberia Produce Marketing Corporation (LPMC), the premiere leading corporation for purchasing and exporting locally produced coffee, cocoa, and rice in Liberia. 

He thereafter became Minister of Agriculture and presided over the Board of LPMC and had oversight supervision of the agriculture development projects in Lofa, Bong, and Nimba Counties, top leading agriculture institutions that gave impetus to the sporadic growth and expansion of agriculture activities in Liberia. Amb. Boakai also served as Managing Director of the Liberia Petroleum Refinery Corporation (LPRC), where he carried out marketing reforms to reflect current realities. Throughout his 25 years of active service in government, Amb. Boakai is reputed for selflessness and high standard of integrity.

After retiring as Vice President and passionate about transforming the lives of suffering Liberians and continues service to humanity, Amb. Boakai founded and launched the Joseph Nyuma Boakai (JNB) Foundation, over which hepresides as Board Chairman.

Amb Boakai, has led a life of service to Liberia and the people of Liberia. Born in the Village of Wasonga at the Liberia-Sierra Leone Border, Mr. Boakai became a statesman and a dominant figure in Liberian politics. He was Vice President of Liberia to President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for twelve years from 2006-2017. Earlier, Mr. Boakai rose from Branch Manager of the Liberian Produce Marketing Corporation (LPMC) in Lofa County to becoming the first Liberian Managing Director of the Corporation before being appointed as Minister of Agriculture. He also later served as Managing Director of the Liberian Petroleum Refining Corporation (LPRC). Following his loss in the 2017 Presidential elections, Mr. Boakai decided to continue his service to the people of Liberia by establishing the Joseph Nyuma Boakai Foundation to bring about transformational social change.

Rev. David Saa Fotorma Jr. | Chairman Of The Board

David Saa Fatorma, Jr. is the General Overseer of the Light Streams Chapel Solution Outreach Ministries. He is married to Veronica and they are blessed with five children. He has planted several churches across the nation of Liberia and provide leadership for three church networks ARM ETR GSFI.

He is a media personality as he broadcasts the Word of God on radio stations across Liberia weekly. He also runs teaching programs on TV, notable Streams Hour Sunday morning teachings and Voice of the Church that discusses socio-political, economic, religious, and trending national issues from an unbiased and biblical perspective. He holds a Master’s Degree in Theology and has traveled in several countries across the world as an international conference speaker including USA North America UK Europe Australia and many African countries preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. David Fatorma is a survivor of a massacre which happened during the 15-year civil war in Liberia and has authored two books After His Touch and his recent book A Prophetic Call for National Shifting. Most recently, the president of Liberia His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai picked Pastor David Saa Fatorma, Jr. as his successor as chairman for his foundation the Joseph Nyuma Boakai foundation a non political, non governmental and non for profit humanitarian organization

Dr. Emmanuel Bailey | Board Member

Rev. Dr. Emmanuel F. Bailey was the 1st and 3rd President of the United Methodist University in Monrovia. He served as Conference Director (Program  Administrator) of the Liberia Annual Conference, Executive Director Team for Justice (Detroit, Michigan) instructor at S. Steward Mott Adult High School inFlint, Michigan (10years) and William Tindale College in Farmington Hills, Michigan (7 years). He was president of the African Association of Michigan and the Liberian association of Michigan. He is listed in “Outstanding Young Men of America”, Who’s who in Religion, and Outstanding People of the 20′ century. He is the author of books: “I want to Help, But How; Caring for Those Who.

Grieve; When You Pray; The History of Methodism in Liberia; History of Liberia and History of the United Methodist University. Dr. Bailey also served United Methodist Churches in Ohio and Michigan for more than twenty five (25) years. He was Chairman of the Division of Health and Social Welfare, Board of Global Ministry, DAC – United Methodist Church.

Trecie Bolton | Board Member

Trecie Bolton, a seasoned former retail executive, brings with her an extensive 29-year career on managing and leading dynamic teams within the industry. Her leadership experience includes prominent roles at distinguished companies such as Target, Kohl’s, and ShopKo. Graduating from Hamline University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Management, Trecie furthered her education at the Way of Righteousness School of Theology in 2001 under the tutelage of Dr. Charles Green where she was ordained.

Transitioning from retail, Trecie ventured into the Financial Services Industry, acquiring licensure in Life and Health. Alongside her husband, Sid, she co-founded their HR and Business

Strategic Consulting enterprise. A devout follower of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Trecie’s spiritual journey has seen her serve in various roles within the ministry, including Apostle, Pastor, Evangelist, and Teacher. Inspired by a divine calling, Apostle Trecie, with husband Sid, established Empowered to Restore Ministries International (ETR). Their mission focuses on uplifting underdeveloped nations by collaborating with local ministries to foster self-sufficiency through quality education and healthcare initiatives while spreading the gospel message. ETR has rapidly expanded, establishing a network of over 100 ministries, over a thousand churches, twenty five sewing centers, seven wells, and eight schools in thirteen countries – Liberia, Sierra Leone, Congo, Tanzania, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Colombia, India, and Pakistan. Recently entrusted with the consolidation of Impact Ministries under ETR. Apostle Trecie continues to amplify their impact, overseeing over 100 churches across Africa, with 30 in Liberia alone while acquiring land throughout Liberia and Tanzania for community development projects – most recently a hospital project that will be led by the medical team of ETR.

Joseph Nyuma Boakai Jr. | Board Member

Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Jr. was born in 1978 in Monrovia, Montserrado County. He received primary and secondary education from schools in Liberia, the United States, Ghana and Sierra Leone during Liberia’s colorful past and graduated with a high school diploma from the Saint Patrick’s High School in Monrovia, Liberia in 1996.

His first employment opportunity was with LUSU Resource Corporation in 1997 as an Administrative Assistant when he was pursuing his Associate Degree in Accounting. In the year 2000 he was then hired as Sales Manager and Apprentice Technician with Master Cell Liberia, a phone sales and repair outfit. It was during this time that he developed the determination to focus on both technology and the private sector as he moved forward with career choices. After working with Master Cell, he became one of the inaugural members of the team that launched Cellcom Liberia in 2003, joining them as Senior Sales and Marketing Manager.
In 2006, Mr. Boakai acquired a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management and Economics from the United Methodist University in Monrovia, Liberia and then went on to acquire a Master’s of Science in Management Information Systems from Strayer University, Maryland, USA in 2008. Upon his return to Liberia, he worked for three years with the Liberia Civil Service Agency as a Monitoring & Evaluation Officer with the Program Management Unit overseeing the Senior Executive Service Program.
